The Ministry of Administration of the Maritime Administration and Maritime Safety (NIMASA) approves the promotion of the shipowner, Hajia Lami Tumaka and 75 Agency executives to their next levels.

The promotions were approved at the 34th meeting of the Council, held in Lagos under the presidency of General Jonathan India Garba (rtd).

Eight Deputy Directors were promoted to the Professional level, 15 Deputy Directors were promoted to Deputy Directors, while 56 Level 14 Officers were promoted to the next Assistants category.

Hajia Lami Tumaka, head of procurement, Mr. M. Sani Mohammed, head of the financial services department, Mr. Olayemi Abbas and counterpart of the cabotage department, Mr. Hassan el-Yakub. Hajia Aisha Jummai Musa, Head of the Marine Environment Department, Susan Asagwara, Chief of Maritime Transport Development, Mr. Akin Akinyosoye and Legal Services Counselor Mr. Suleman Abdulsalam. Have undergone a rigorous process, as independent consultants have been hired to perform the exercise. In addition, the Agency approves the promotion of 222 non-management employees between levels 4-14.
