Work (NLC) Nigeria Congress in Osun asked the state government to pay workers the exceptional average wages received since July 2015 balance.

The appeal was launched in a statement signed by the state's NLC president, Mr. Jacob Adekomi, and made available to journalists in Osogbo.

According to the statement, the government owes the wage level of workers 08 and above, as well as pensioners, half the wage balance paid to them over an 18-month period.

He congratulated the governor Rauf Aregbesola the state to pay the workers' wages in the state until November and urged him to fulfill his promise to pay the pay balance of half the 18 months.

"We do not doubt that the governor is a man of his words and who will take care of the balance of outstanding salaries of officials at wage level 08 and pensioners.

"The outgoing year has been a challenge for state workers faced with the dark and hostile economic situation due to the economic downturn.

"Development is certainly enough to trigger the industrial crisis, but the perseverance and understanding of workers, and confidence in its leadership in the state, kept the ship afloat despite the storm," said the statement

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the state government paid three months of arrears salary covering October to November, December 21, the Paris repayment loan to the state.

It is composed of full salary for workers with salary levels 01 to 07 and 75 percent of workers with salary level 08 and above.

The NLC, however, claims the entire balance of wages paid to incomplete workers with the salary level of 08 and above and pensioners in the state since July to 2015.
