"When the thieves finished with the attack, the team leader, we know that Inspector Gada was killed, while the Sergeant on Sunday was seriously wounded and was taken to the hospital. The incident occurred around 5 o'clock.

The resident said the thieves fled into the police patrol van.

The official public relations of the State Police, Alberto Adeyemi, confirming the attack, said one policeman was killed and another was seriously injured and "was taken to the Federal Medical Hospital in Ido, in the Local Government Area Ido state OSi.

"Meanwhile, we opened an investigation into the incident and we will ensure that we get to the root of the matter and translate the book authors."

It should be remembered that the police command lost its treasurer, Taiwo Idowu, on Monday.

Taiwo, was found dead Monday in a car with his hands tied behind his back in the Ajilosun area after being abducted on Sunday by unidentified gunmen.
