The pastor of the Catholic Church of St. Peter and Paul, Issele-Azagba, Diocese Issele-Uku, Delta State, Rv. Jude Onyebadi's father was abducted by suspicious flocks dudes with the kidnappers demanding a ransom of N20 million. According to Sun, the Reverend Father, who is a famous philanthropist and owner of one of the largest commercial pineapple farms in the state, was abducted last Friday from his farm pineapples between the Ubulu-Uku and Issele- Uku by three men armed Fulani pastors suspected

He was dragged into the jungle by the kidnappers. The kidnappers opened negotiations immediately after his arrest and began demanding N50 billion, but fell N20 million ransom.

Director of Communications of the Diocese, Rev. Charles Uganwa confirmed the kidnapping of his colleague and revealed that the church will never pay a ransom to a kidnapper to release one of their own. He says the church does not promote ransom criminals as they do help increase the crime rate.

Speaking on the incident, Delta State Police Command spokesman, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, said the abducted cleric will be saved soon and unharmed. He urged the Church and all those who have been associated with him to cooperate with the security agents. He also revealed that they are already approaching the kidnappers.

"We comb the bushes and soon, it will be released. I can assure you that we follow the kidnappers who keep changing from one place to another, but no matter how you try to hide, go get them. Not only will we help the victim, we will see to it that the perpetrators are arrested and brought to justice, "he promised.
